devotion ( day 1 )

Name one person who has been a hero in your life. What qualities do they have that made them heroic to you? In what ways do you want to be like that person? How does jesus inspire us to be like him? One person who has been a hero in my life is my dad. He has sacrificed so much to provide for his family. He worked hard daily and continued showing us love and cared for us. He gave us a lot of his time. He never gave up on us even though we let him down. Jesus uses his life as an example of how we, as Christians should behave. He displayed many characteristics he wanted us to learn. Obedience. Respect. Patience. Kindness... He was the perfect example. He showed love to everyone. Even to those who persecuted him and he never held a grudge against them. Matthew 1-2 Taught me that we should always be on the look out for Jesus second coming. He could come anytime. We have to be prepared. And our hearts open and ready to hear from him.
